Andaman and Nicobar Island
These are a group of islands at the juncture of the Bay of Bangal and Andaman Sea. These islands are home to the sentineles people and are fast developing into a major tourism hub . Celluler Jail and Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park are some of their major tourit attractions.
Lakshdweep
It was formerly known as the Minivoy and Aminidivi Islands. It is a group of islands 200 to 440 kilometres off the south-western coast of India. The island form the smallest Union Territory of India as their total surface area is just 32 square kilometres.
Puduchery
This Union Territory comprises of four small unconnected districts. In 1674, it became a French colonial possession. In 1954 , this Union Territory was included in the terriroty of India . It was the residence of Sri Aurobindo. Sri Aurobindo Ashram still operates from here.
